For the 2nd inaugural Black Focus Film Festival, the BFFF team ventured to revamp the standard logo with a timeless aesthetic that caters to modern audiences. The logo is inspired by typography trends of the Harlem Renaissance and the focus of a lens, reflecting a desire to bring black stories to the forefront of the collective consciousness.

The Black Focus Film Festival utilizes a universal logo for external outreach in addition to a themed variation for each film festival. The theme for the 2023 Black Focus Film Festival was inspired by 70s fashion and media, an era of black film that encapsulated bold storytelling, social commentary, and the spirit of resistance and innovation.
